Set up two cones/dots 2m apart, 12-15 yds between. Players in pairs are going to complete several passing sequences behind the cone pairs, receiving on one side and bringing the ball to the other side to return, with different touches and use of left & right foot.

Drill 1: Pairs: Gates Brazilians (15 mins)

Focus: Lateral first touch skills

Introduction: Here we are getting reps towards mastering perfect sideways/square first touch. The goal is to make this a two touch pass where your first touch brings the ball behind your gate. First, focus on the quality of the first touch. Next, focus on the quality of your body shape and ability to follow the fist touch return the pass quickly.
